PPI’s Cordwood Building Project: A Cordwood Toolshed

*We are planning to hold a cordwood building workshop and begin our cordwood composting dry toilet construction in 2023. The cement chambers were finally poured last December and now we can move forward! This green building will use our own soil as part of the mortar and local forest dead wood to clean the forest floor from fire-hazard debris. Donations, grant ideas and volunteers are greatly appreciated.*

The Cordwood Building Project began in 2021…

Its back wall will be shared when we build and connect a cordwood structure for a composting dry toilet.

This is a great example of green building using lots of local resources,
such as cordwood from the mountains and our own soil in the mortar mix.

PPI has its own formula as every location would have.

These buildings are extremely strong, almost maintenance free, fire resistant, plus they can last for 100+ years.

Watch for the Workshop “Cordwood Building 2” next year.
